Alchemy Sky Receives Grant To Expand Music Therapy For Veterans

Atlanta, Georgia – January 3, 2018 – The Alchemy Sky Foundation received a grant from The Imlay Foundation to expand its music therapy for Veterans in Georgia.

ASF funds and facilitates regular, on-site, music therapy sessions for older Veterans who call Georgia home. ASF hires board certified music therapists (MT-BC) to lead each session. Each session averages 14 Veterans and last for approximately 60 minutes. Veterans play percussion instruments, tell stories, sing and interact with residents and staff.

“We are grateful for the support from The Imlay Foundation. With this additional funding, we can double our current programming of group music therapy to help serve more Veterans. We are honored to provide this programming for our military service men and women who have sacrificed so much for our country,” said Jaye Budd, Executive Director of the Alchemy Sky Foundation.
